About Us

AJT undertake all aspects of electrical installations throughout the south coast. Whether it be domestic or commercial, big or small- we have the capability and experience to meet your electrical needs.

From an initial team of two electricians and an apprentice in 1983- we currently employ over fifty, fully qualified engineers and apprentices who receive continual training while working with us.

The electricians who work for us are all hard-working and pay attention to detail. We have an apprentice scheme, which trains high standard engineers; however, we also employ qualified electricians.

There is also a dedicated and knowledgeable office team based in the centre of Brighton who are happy to answer any queries relating to our line of work. At AJT we pride ourselves on our professionalism, reliability and courtesy. We are a friendly and efficient force to be reckoned with.


We are approved contractors of The National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NIC EIC). All of our work is carried out to the current edition of the IEE regulations. We also have qualified design staff who can deal with any technical requirements.

We understand how vital it is to consider Health & Safety at all times and in all areas of the company. This is why many of our electricians, contracts managers and office staff have health and safety training and all of our engineers are ECS and CSCS approved. There is also a regularly updated health and safety policy, which is used by all employees at A J Taylor.

All of our electricians are up to a high standard and have the following qualifications:
-    Level 3 NVQ in Electro technical Services
-    City & Guilds 2351
-    Achievement Measurement 2 (AM2)
-    City & Guilds 2391

We also have electricians qualified in:
-    Mobile Work Platforms - Powered Access Licence (PAL) Certificate
-    Air- conditioning - SANYO Certificate
-    Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment - City & Guilds Certificate
